Pippa's big chop to raise funds for Lymphoma
Story
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.
Nine years ago, our world was thrown in to a spin when Pippa's Nanna was diagnosed with Lymphoma. One thing we learnt along the way is that there is not much awareness of this cancer even though the risk of being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma by age 85 is 1in 39 and the risk of being diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma by age 85 is 1 in 414.
Along with the lack of awareness comes lack of fundraising, so after 11 years of growing her hair, Pippa will be having a big hair cut to raise funds for lymphoma.
Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting Pippa's big hair cut, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
She will also be donating her hair to sustainable salons to be used for wigs for either Cancer or Alopecia
Thanks so much for your support!
Lymphoma Australia
Lymphoma is the #1 cancer in young people aged 15-29 years
More than 7,400 Australians are diagnosed each year.
All Australians should have access to a lymphoma care nurse where and when required - a cancer journey should not be alone. With your support, lymphoma care nurses can reach anyone needing advice and support about lymphoma through the free support line and in person.
Lymphoma Australia is Australia's only not-for-profit and charity dedicated exclusively to the provision of support and information to Australia's growing population of Lymphoma patients and their families. Every donation helps us move closer to a cure.
